ALS Performance with Multi-Baric Systems
Here at the ALS Performance Research Foundation, we are a nonprofit looking to make a meaningful impact on ALS and other neurodegenerative conditions. Our philosophy of using Simplification, Experimentation and Recombination is allowing researchers a methodology and novel technology to expand innovation and new understandings with regards to cellular adaptation and cellular performance, using stressed induced Multi-baric environments.
-
Multi-baric systems consist of a pressure unit in which individual sits and undergoes multiple rapid pressure changes at various fractions of normal atmospheric pressures. These subnormal-atmospheric (hypobaric) pressure changes follow dynamic waveforms. Thus, prompting internal physiological mechanisms that create optimized performance.
-
The system uses a sophisticated robotic control mechanism that varies the unit’s internal pressure to various sub-atmospheric pressure levels. Hence, the term to describe this is “Multi-Baric”. These atmospheric changes stimulate and promote cellular adaptation and thus enhance performance.
-
The Foundation has conducted several pilot studies with the use of this multi-baric technology and collected surface EMG data immediately following these subnormal (hypobaric) atmospheric changes from our ALS subjects. The analysis of surface EMG data demonstrated that this novel technology reduces neuronal activity. Hence, we surmise lower excitatory thresholds are improving neuronal survival for these ALS subjects. The Foundation realizes that these observations need to be reproduced in a series of clinical studies to help verify and validate this never seen before phenomenon. Your support is needed.
How did we get started?
It started with one individual, and this is Johnny’s story.
Here are Johnny’s results after using the Multi-Baric System.
After one hour of use his fasciculation spikes were decreased by almost 100%. Resulting in less muscle contractions and improvement of overall well being.

What People Are Saying
"The Foundation’s research in multi-baric technology for neurological conditions has the potential to improve lives and advance better outcomes in patients. Dr. Conidi Neurologist and board member."
— Frank Conidi, Team Neurologist, Florida Panthers NHL
“It is noteworthy that there is no specific treatment for fasciculations, as it is symptomatic. The use of anti-epileptic drugs such as carbamazepine and phenytoin has shown a partial therapeutic response.”
— Neurol Int., August 8th, 2014
"Fasciculations are neuromuscular hyper-excitability phenomena and a hallmark symptom of ALS. No treatment today is proven to be effective against fasciculations."
— Muscle & Nerve, March 6th, 2018
